Rest in Peace William

Dear all,
We have just got home from saying goodbye to our beautiful little boy.The last 24 hours have been a complete blur. Yesterday evening, anxiety began to take hold a little bit. We desperately wanted to make sure we gave William a fitting send off.
Thankyou to everybody who made today special. All the love and support got us through. We were overwhelmed with how many people came to pay their respects.
Thankyou to Mike and Paul for being unbelievably brave and standing infront of all those people and reading our words/tribute to William. I honestly don’t know how you both did it. I was super proud of my beautiful daughter who not only wrote a lovely tribute to William but had the courage to stand at the front whilst the vicar read it out.
Thankyou to Jon Wallace for not only the love and support from you and Vicky over the years but that video you produced for today was amazing. Thankyou Ben for all the help with the technical stuff.
Thankyou to my amazing colleagues at Greater Manchester Police for the love and support. The guard of honour was beautiful. You all looked so smart. I am honoured to work with such fantastic people.
Thankyou to Kate/Damian/Vicky H for organising the singer. Sam Gilliatt was truly fantastic. He was just perfect.
Thankyou to everybody who donated via the GoFundMe page. Rosie Hewson I know we were initially reluctant for this to be set up but it helped massively.
Thankyou to everybody who came but especially those who travelled far and wide.
As I have already said the countless messages and the amazing gestures we have had has helped us more than I can describe in words.
I really hope we did William proud today. We miss him so much. He leaves a gigantic hole in our lives but we are going to do everything we can to try and live the way he lived. Each and every day we will find a reason to smile again.
Rest in Peace William. We will love you forever xxxx
